Literature Text

I was never able to control my movements in a dream. If I did, I would've run away from this dream as fast as I could or wake myself up.

Main Street was a mess.

Blood stretched as far down the street as I could see. I took a few moments to keep myself from screaming because of how gross this was and how deep the blood was. Trying to keep myself from thinking of exactly who's blood this may have been, I looked around. Every window was shattered and I could see there were no cars in sight. Every building was wrecked beyond recognition if it were not for the fact that only the front if the buildings were somehow intact. I slowly walked around through the blood, the sound echoing around me as I tried once again not to think of who's blood it may have been or how sick my stomach felt. Looking up at the white sky I could see no sun or clouds, I blinked slowly before I continued my walk down the street. Bodies started appearing around me of people I knew and others I did not.
'Your fault....your fault...all your....fault...' Their voices whispered, slowly growing in number they got louder and louder.

I woke up with a start, moving too quickly I fell off the bed with a quiet thud and a bunch of muttered curses as I picked myself up off the ground and brushed myself off and tug down my red shirt that was riding up slightly. Taking a few extra seconds to calm myself down, I tried to slow my racing heartbeat before I began walking towards the meeting room. I could hear voices struggling to keep their voices down before I came in, leaning against the doorframe. "Are you crazy? That's a horrible idea...!" Kendra yelled, not bothering to keep her voice down.

"Kendra keep it down." Breanne hissed.

No one seemed to notice me and I didn't really care since the argument was starting to get too heated. I could plainly see that this wasn't going as well as Ari may have planned. Ari looked ready to leave until the argument cooked down while Dylan tried calming the group down but with little success. Breanne narrowed her eyes in a silent, heavy stare of disapproval rested on Kendra, who looked ready to attack Ari and the rest of the group exchanged glances. I bit the inside of my cheek before I reached over to the light switch, intending to shut them off before my hand touched the switch and I realized it wasn't working.

"Shelayne what are you doing?" Ari asked.

Well....there went my dramatic entrance.

"Uh....nothing?"
So awhile ago I kinda promised Digital-Z I'd write a zombie story. Or rather a short story.
This was a small snippet of a deleted chapter.
I tried editing and if I messed up that's probably because of either the iPad or me-
After the end of this I'm seriously gonna be sick of the zombie genre.
